Coach Mentoring
There are typically four areas we can explore in mentoring.
You can choose to hone in on whichever area you feel will contribute most to your growth and development as a coach.
Challenging Cases
01
Occasionally, clients will bring us to our growing edge as a coach.
This may include:
New or uncomfortable territory
An issue in the gray area between coaching and therapy
A coaching engagement calling for skills you feel aren’t yet sharp
Feelings of doubt or uncertainty about how to proceed
These types of cases can be explored together as we navigate a supportive and skillful path forward.
Skill Development
02
There may be a specific coaching skill you are wanting to develop, or you may be sharpening your skills more generally as you prepare for the ICF ACC or PCC exam.
Together we can discuss and practice in a safe environment, and in ways that support you in becoming the coach you want to be.
Recordings
03
Listening to recordings and engaging in nuanced feedback conversations about the strengths you bring to the table, as well as the opportunities that lie ahead in your growth journey, is a sweet spot for me.
I’ve mentored coaches since 2011, have listened to 1,000+ recorded coaching sessions in that time, and would underscore that when it comes to learning this is a potent way to spend our time together.
Courageous Coaching
04
Many of the topics and themes in mentoring boil down to finding the courage to become the coach you are capable of being.
There is a sweet spot in our growth as a coach. It exists at the intersection where backbone and heart meet. When embodied, this powerful combination can foster the type of conditions necessary for transformation. Together we can explore practical ways to tap into your courage, find this sweet spot, and take your coaching to the next level.
