Shandra Lamotte

I'm a mother, coach, facilitator, and teacher who is passionate about supporting people reconnecting to the fullness and wholeness of their hearts.

From a young age, I've cared deeply about the thoughts, emotions, and experiences of others around me- be it a close friend, the bus driver, or even characters in films and books.

This often led to me being the mini "therapist" of my friend group, often up until 2 am on high school nights talking with my friends about the pains in their lives. I think some part of me always knew I was meant to work with people.

While my own personal growth journey began to try and become a better, happier, and healthier version of myself, I realized that so much of the "work" was in reclaiming the parts of me I thought were unworthy of love, rather than trying to get rid of these parts once and for all.

My journey became about reconnecting with my heart, emotions, needs, and wisdom. This has influenced how I now support clients and students today. I believe that every person I work with has an inner knowing that is far superior to my ideas or advice on what to do.

As a result, my work centers around inquiries and processes to support people in connecting to themselves, their wisdom, and their wholeness so they can navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life with trust, grounding, and heartfulness.

I'm certified as a Compassion Cultivation Training instructor through CCARE at Stanford University and the Compassion Institute, a family systems coach, and a lead facilitator of rites of passage workshops through COR. I specialize in creating curriculum and training facilitators for leading transformational organizations.

Most recently, the thing that has impacted me most in my personal growth and in how I show up with others has been becoming a mother. It's stretched my capacity to be with people in their emotions, to meet them with love, and to open to compassion for the ways they were not attuned to or emotionally held as a child.
